The Silk Road
We needed a getaway. And not something “stiff” and clean like an Oaks hotel room.
We needed something unique that matched our fine, pleasurable tastes much like Alexander the Great. I searched far and wide and found online Kanimbia Luxury Glamping!
This secluded hideaway is incredible. We stayed in this gorgeous safari Yala tent, there were many tents with different themes, ours was The Silk Road which was masterfully decorated in gorgeous, rugs, velvet drapes, lounge chairs galore, we spent so much time relaxing! They even had a card game to match the theme.
There was a delightful fire pit just outside our zipper and deck, then only 150 meters over the hill was our camp kitchen and bathroom with hot showers!
We ventured out during the cold winter days to try the local delights. We enjoyed a visit to the iconic Kenilworth Bakery, where I tried their Coffee in a Donut! I did indeed, came back the next day.
We found our way to the Eumundi Markets. We didn’t buy much just took in the sights, drank delicious drinks and ate food!
We stopped in at Montville to explore the sweet shops, food and coffee spots. We enjoyed a beer at Matso’s Sunshine Coast Brewery (I fondly remember Matso’s from my time living in Broome, WA). We also stopped at Fudgyboombah’s, the kind gentleman gave me not one, but TWO tastings! Yum.
Little May Espresso is a MUST for a delicious breaky, relaxed vibe and very lovely staff. I had a craving for Eggs Benny which wasn’t on their menu and they kindly allowed me to build my own with the sides they had on offer.
I’d highly recommend exploring these small towns of Kenilworth, Montville and Eumundi. The cherry on top was of course our fantastic Silk Road camp at Kanimbia Luxury Glamping!
