Empowering Migrants Expo 2024, Brisbane City Hall

Event Overview:

The Empowering Migrants Expo, organised by Bhartiya Samaj at Brisbane City Hall, was a monumental event that united over 200 multicultural community leaders and attracted more than 3,500 attendees within the four-hour event. The Expo celebrated the rich cultural diversity of migrants, featuring representatives from over 20 Countries and 10 Government Agencies. Highlights included inspiring speeches from distinguished guests, vibrant cultural displays, and meaningful community engagement. The event emphasised the importance of multiculturalism, inclusivity and the significant contributions of migrants to Australian society. The Expo fostered a sense of unity and understanding, setting a benchmark for future multicultural events in Queensland.

The cultural dance performances were particularly enthralling, providing attendees with an immersive experience of the vibrant traditions and heritage of each community. These performances, along with the informational stalls from various organisations, including Queensland Health, TAFE Queensland, Queensland Ambulance Service, Office of Fair Trading, Brisbane City Council, and more, made the event not only a celebration but also an opportunity for learning and connection.
